The Liberia Immigration Service Arrests Nigerian Man with One Million Liberian Dollars fake Banknotes

Officers of the Liberia Immigration Service assigned have arrested a thirty-three year-old Nigerian identified as Emetuche Benjamin. He  has been arrested with  a huge consignment of counterfeit Liberian Dollars banknotes.



The arrest was made on the 25th of December at the Solumba Port of Entry in Lofa County while enroute to Monrovia.

He was caught with One Million Liberian Dollars fake Banknotes all in Five-Hundred dollar denomination.

Suspect Benjamin told the Liberia Immigration Service that he converted the money in the Ivory Coast while enroute to Liberia but did not know the money was counterfeit.

He’s now in the custody of the Liberia Immigration Service and will soon be turned over to the rightful authority for investigation.
