LFA SEARCHES FOR NEW LONE STAR COACH

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has announced that the search for a new Head Coach of the men’s national team begins today following weeks after it communicated with Peter Butler that his contract would not be extended beyond August expiration date.

Application is now opened to all interested candidates including Liberians at home or abroad for a position with a salary ranging from USD2,000.00 to 15,000.00 depending on the category of qualification and standard.

‘’The LFA is keen to hire a coach with a clearly defined philosophy and vision who will develop, implement, and manage resources and goals of Liberia football programs in keeping with its own philosophy’’, a statement from the Technical Department is quoted.

To meet these demands, the LFA is seeking a coach who can correspond with a set of criteria and key amongst them are the following:

  1. Qualification and background:

 Applicant must have obtained a minimum coaching license(s)—UEFA Pro License, CAF B, or A

 High School Diploma or above and basic IT Skills in MS Word, Excel & Power Point

  1. Salary/Benefits

 Understand the difference between the salary and benefits set for local and/or foreign coach

 Anticipated salary should be satisfactory to coach and affordable to employer

  1. Engage in and support ethical practices
  2. Planning and administration
  3. Create a unified vision using strategic planning and goal-setting principles
  4. Implement appropriate strategies for evaluating athlete training, development and performance.

Deadline for application is Tuesday, 9 August 2022 at 12:00 midnight.
